Lasting eight hours, the course has 2 brief theoretical expositions and the rest of the workload is practical, carried out in groups at the Center for Realistic Simulation. Students participate in hands-on stations and scenarios outlined in the program below.

Pediatric emergency situations are rare events, but of high severity and risk for the patient, where the preparation of health teams is essential. This course allows you to practice life-saving skills and procedures in pediatrics and train healthcare teams in the management of complex emergencies such as shock, respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.

Realistic simulation allows practical experience, in a safe environment, followed by guided reflection, which has an impact both on knowledge and on skills and attitudes related to professional practice. It uses patient simulators, static mannequins and professional actors in installations that create an environment similar to a virtual hospital or pre-hospital environments. This method allows training not only in technical skills, but also provides participants with experience in leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
